PROBLEM ANALYSIS - RATIONALE

Posted on 13:45 by cena
BRIEF: (What is the problem you intend to solve?)
Awareness of Bollywood and Indian culture through a lighthearted numerical approach to Bollywood, showing India and Bollywood being synonymous and how culture and movies have changed over time.

WHO NEEDS TO KNOW? (Who is your audience? Be concise no more then ten words.)
Pretty much everyone. I want everyone to enjoy it and learn something.

WHAT DO THEY NEED TO KNOW?
Culture of India, clickes, top actors/movies of Bollywood. The extravagance and excitement of Bollywood movies.

WHY DO THEY NEED TO KNOW?
To be tempted and interested to check out India, and especially the Indian movie industry. To also be tempted or lay the foundations to visit India or watch Indian cinema.

WHAT WILL THEY RESPOND TO? (How will they connect/understand the outcome?)
Top trump style "Bollywood Battle' playing card game, physically interact and play with product. Have fun and hopefully remember a few facts about Bollywood through it all.

WHAT RESEARCH IS REQUIRED?
Quantitavie tally charts to gain data for actor's attributes
Top trump card rules
Found out which actors would be selected for cards
How many cards in a deck?
Packaging of similar concepts
Top cliches

Secondary
Bollywood cliches
Top gear rules
Do they already exist
Articles about change in Bollywood movie culture

RATIONALE
-To show extravagance, colour and excitement.
The positive side of India, in a lighthearted manner, primarily through Bollywood actor playing cards.
-To tempt people to watch Bollywood actor playing cards
-To create stylish and contemporary playing cards for a change
-Aimed at anyone, probably more advantageous to people who aren't as familiar, but at same time nostagic and possibly more easy to pick up and play to people that are familiar.
